I downloaded it yesterday and am running it in Parallels on my office macbook (2.26 core duo with only 2GB ram) So far OK, not much codec support for ingesting or transcoding files, easy interface though. No real crashes yet, but slow due to my set up.
On the plus side you can tell it is designed form the get go to work in SAN environments, it had you choose a "machine" number on install so you get a unique identifier which makes sharing projects and media easier to configure I assume.
At the end of the Day it is still in Beta, and the more pro feedback the more it will mature for pro users it will become.
I am optimistically skeptical until I can get it on a dedicated edit machine and a Mac version in release. But Editshare had a pretty good track record for innovation and some great mind in the software engineering department. i look forward to seeing how it develops.
