I know this topic has been discussed over the years with various combinations of codecs etc. Specifically I have a same as source self contained QT of Avid DNX 220X that I want to process with smoothcam. When I render the smoothcam at the finish of the render the level shifts. I've set the video processing to high level YUV and I still get the shift at the end of render. I'm redoing it with the superwhite option checked to see what happens. My source is 709 levels out of Avid. I'm trying to recompress to Prores HQ 60I to see if that plays better. Any suggestions? I'm using the smoothcam on shots that the Avid region stabalize messes up to see if I can get better results. Perhaps I should be exporting from Avid same as source with RGB levels. Oh what fun. I'm cross posting to increase my chances of success.
