Steve
I am not sure this is exactly what you are after, but it might do the trick.

Subject: [FCP-L] copy check utility?
Is there a Mac utility or program that can confirm - after the fact - that a folder on one drive has all the same files as the folders on another drive?
I copied a huge number of media files from a Firewire drive to my internal RAID and I want to make sure that they're all there. Quick way would be to just check number of files in the folder (cmd-I), but I was looking for something a bit more sophisticated. The files are in multiple sub folders and are all QTs.
