[Avid-L2] Keyboard shift-key crashing?

 

Having an odd problem that we're trying to trouble shoot within our building. Can anyone re-create this crash?

Media Composer or Symphony v5.03.5
- new project
- new user settings
- new sequence, add a clip from anywhere
- press SHIFT-2 (or SHIFT-3 or SHIFT-U) on the keyboard
- now click and move anywhere on the timeline

Lock-up and crash?

We've done the usual voodoo, new settings, trash databases and MCState. Trying to figure out if it's the software or any background software we have running.
