My main issue (apart from setting it up for myself) is in teaching - I
can't change the colour for a selected region now and it can be hard
to show on a projector. We need this to be configurable and have two
colours - one for a selected segment and one for marked I-O.

Me, too, but the biggest issue I have is the color scheme limitations
and the brightness slider. Only the darkest setting gives you light
text and that's too extreme. Medium gray background gives you dark
text, which is hard to read. Also in general, UI text quality has
never been improved and tends to look less smooth in Mac OS X. Adobe,
Red Giant / Magic Bullet and RED do a far better job these days with
dark UIs.
