Dude, where have you been?
What was the power of a 1 million digisuite?
A 'good' suite had five sources and two recorders, relative primitive
grading, one title generator and 2 channels of DVE.
Previewing an effect with more than 2 channels of DVE needed the second
recorder to kick in with an inbetween, if that wasn't in use for a pre-read
backup of the first effect.
That took TIME, and audio was a hell, even with 4 channels and pre-read.

I dare to say that my first Premiere based NLE (15 years ago) came close to
digi suites for heavy effect work.
And i bet you a beer that i can beat a 1million lineair suite with tools
available 10 years ago.
