Actually that might be a fair call. There is a broadcast fork (FFMBC) which
perhaps might be the first place to see widespread 10bit support, or it
might not - http://code.google.com/p/ffmbc/

Although I think most of the FFMBC stuff has actually been merged back into
the main development.
