[Avid-L2] Jobs, Budgets & Time (OT)

I'm trying to put together a realistic timeline and budget for a
potential client and I want to be as realistic as possible with what
I know. I am a producer who edits and composes and occasionally
shoots and directs. I typically work in a freelance capacity or in a
turn-key project manger/production function. I'm a one man shop
unless projects and budgets deem outside help.

How do some of you smaller one man companies budget projects? As a
producer I have a couple of standard budget forms, but with
production everything is a little more locked down with time, crew
and shoots. Can anyone recommend a formula they use for calculating
post timetables and budgets?

This project will incorporate shooting and editing 30-40 videos that
will be 30-45 min in length for a series. Nothing too difficult.
One or possibly two cameras with a talking head and no props - all
similar in style. Based on what I know, I'm budgeting one ten hour
day for edit with basic and similar graphics and then doubling the
time for rendering, output and safety.

So, thirty 30-45 min videos are budgeted for 60 days in post and 15
days shooting at two three hour shoots per day. Very simple stuff
with lighting and set always in the same place.

I know this is very general but this seems doable to me. Anyone feel
I'm in the ballpark or missing the ballpark completely?

Anyone have any recommendations for calculating time and money?

Thanks,
rob c
