[Avid-L2] [job] Post Production Coordinator (Hollywood, CA)

We are a long established, full-service post house, located in busy Hollywood, CA. Our editors are responsible for recent hit music videos, commercials, and television shows. We are currently looking for a full-time, Production Coordinator to work along side our Executive Producer during the bidding and execution of our jobs.

This position requires wide knowledge of contemporary post workflows and technologies, and requires the ability to determine and coordinate the workflows and scheduling of post intensive jobs. We're looking for someone who has previously worked as a tech/assistant editor/artist who would be able to completely understand the technical in and outs of a post facility; someone who could provided hands-on assistance to a job a well as oversee a producer's responsibilities.

This would be a great opportunity for someone who wants to step up from a tech or artists position into a producer's position!

--be able to understand client e-mails and act on them efficiently

--communicate with various producers on a daily/hourly basis

--be able to predict and discuss editorial hours and scheduling for all jobs

--ask questions in an assertive yet respectful manner

--be able to complete tasks quickly

--be extremely organized

--be fluent in post production terminology

--create post workflows and schedules for complex jobs that include offline/online editorial, color, visual effects, closed captioning, various audio mixes, and format conversions.

--act as a liaison between clients and artists

--troubleshoot technical hurdles that may arise in a workflow.

--ensure that all quality control measures are kept in place

--be able to assist in Avid, Photoshop, and After Effects if needed.
