I have a rush job (Sunday morning!) that's all shot XDCam 50 - but
wrapped in QT, so I'm using AMA. If I transcode them with a 'rewrap'
- leaving them XDCam, but making them MXF, I get the exact same
problem. Some clips play, some dont - most play fine as long as you
start them in a place where the error warning doesn't show up - then
they'll play right though the area where they wouldn't play. I cut
together a rough sequence with just audio, then, when I went to
transcode JUST that sequence to MXF, it doesn't transcode, throwing up
the same error.
(Ironically I have a back up source on HDCam tape, but the XDCam was
supposed to save me time! Crap- I should of just captured!)
Obviously this is V5 since it's QT AMA. Tried it on two different
machines with identical results.
Anyone have a solution, or at least seen this before? I'm transcoding
all the source in one room, will capture the HDCam in another, in case
the transcode fails. But wasn't all this supposed to make our work
faster, not harder?
