Best I can remember (until I dig up my notes from ~ 18 months ago) is
that it's some kind of "auto scan" setting(s) buried in the EX3 menu
and apparently defaulted to "ON." It's a wide-ish horizontal band of
subtle discoloration that (always?) moves slowly in an upward
direction but can vary in speed. I first saw it on footage which was
shot outdoors on a dreary snow-covered Ohio day - very grey overcast
with no "lighting" save for possibly some utility pole MV street
lights. I next saw it under some mixed indoor lighting, but again -
it's a moving band and not the constant "warm to cool and back" full-
frame shifts I used to see on occasion (and more associated with
fluorescent mixes).

I thought it might be a weird interaction with the Letus adapter or
some other anomaly having to do with 1080p/30, but nothing turned up
on the Googles (and obviously the keywords "Rolling" and "Shutter"
turn up hits that are popular but unrelated).

I did, however, finally find a thread that described exactly what I
was seeing (and that's what I need to dig up again). Once I showed it
to the DP he was like "O'Rly?", then dug into the menus and disabled
whatever this setting is (and it immediately solved the problem).

Again, it can be very subtle and not readily apparent in the camera's
EVF (or maybe not even seen). But it's baked in and would be beyond
tedious to fix.

I can post examples later today if anyone's interested - and once I
find that doggone thread I'll post that as well.
