How does the Avid handle the consolidating overnight?
I have been wary of the AMA stuff and instead just bite the bullet up
front so that I know I have rock solid media in the Avid.

I didn't think that you could start editing w/ XDCam/P2 and later
consolidate.

After your cut is started, you highlight all the master clips,
consolidate... then you re-link your edit to the consolidated media?
(I guess I haven't always had good luck with the relink command)

This will also work on Unity systems?
