Are you an Admin of the computer?  Change the permissions on both the applications within the finder and set it to read/write to all enclosed items... hope that works...

I'm parked on a Mac-based MC4.0 Academic version for the day and I'm trying to open both EDL Manager and FilmScribe. However, neither will launch. All that happens is that I get a horrific hit of static maybe a quarter-second long that pops over the speakers as though some error tone never quite made it out.

The EDL Manager is build 26.0. But I can't find anything in any of the traditional resources that suggest that there is a problem.

Anyone have any ideas?
