[Avid-L2] Re: Variable Frame Rate tapes

The DVCPro codec isn't supported in the PC world. Avid supports it internally, but not outside of the program.

You always lose something when you do a second different compression pass.

I exported a QT Ref and tried importing into 59.94. I get a white screen. Upon checking the QT Ref files in QT player, they also come up as white frames. The other odd thing is that in the QT inspector, the movie is coming up as DVCPro PAL with frame rate of 23.98. Could this be a missing codec?
