Yes, Art Adams' example from RED is like what I am seeing and it is a result of the CMOS shutter. The camera is a Sony Z7U (footage shot HDV and transcoded to DNxHD 145 for editing) and I use a 100fps shutter speed in 50 cycle countries to compensate for such eventualities. This one was shot in the U.S. so I wasn't thinking on those lines. It was one fluorescent which should have been turned off. Unfortunately, it was close to the interviewee.
I couldn't get the D90 (Vimeo) clip to play on my laptop--will check it out later. One comment there talks about a workaround for this but no fixes.
