Well, I can address this one. We do a ton of various format outputs to FCP all day long between Digital Service Station and Alpha Dogs, FCP finishing services. And it IS flakey. When it works, it's fine, but often you have to play around to get things working correctly.

It's easy to say "operator error" in excusing the shortcomings of FCPs technology, but it doesn't hold water. The underlying problems seem to track back to QT which was never intended to be a solid tape delivery format. The FCP team has done wonders working around it's shortcomings, but they are still shortcomings.

Let's just agree to disagree here and move on.
