I agree that they are excellent, but as much as I can point out my own issues with Avid's gear, I also find it to have an edge over FCP with AJA or BMD gear. Issues like FCP sync drift, audio pops and crackles, edit-to-tape accuracy and more come to mind. The true saving grace is that AJA gives stellar support and has an almost no-questions-asked repair/exchange policy.
