I'm looking to utilize the Nitris DX's HDMI out to get 5.1 audio monitoring (non-critical) into our edit room. I'm trying to find the correct box to split out the digital audio to analog multi-channel to go into our Blue Sky MediaDesk (analog XLR or RCA's input) and still have HDMI video passthru to an LCD monitor.
Anyone have a working solution they'd like to share?
Searching the internet has come up with a few options:
Octava HDMI matrix switch with 7.1 RCA breakouts:

GefenTV Home Theater Audio Processor:

Or I'm considering the route of finding a regular home theatre receiver with HDMI i/o and analog multi-channel 'pre-outs'. But it'll probably be overkill in size, features and power consumption for the task.
Marantz SR4002 Dolby Digital EX:

Alternatively I supposed we could utilize the Optical ADAT/SPDIF out on the DX if there's a converter that'll give analog multi-channel out.
I'd appreciate any thoughts!
