I reckon the 3D TV will enter my front room in order to facilitate 3D
game play.
Whether it is worth TV companies transmitting 3D content is anyone's
guess.

Totally agree on the concept. However, I don't see the average consumer
screaming for better images. In fact, most can't seem to tell when an SD
image is on an HD set. In the case of the TV Logic, the "glass" was thin
but the required housing was still the same size as always.

I personally don't see a big consumer demand for HD. My point is that
the "push" will come from consumer electronics companies, because 3D is
"the next big thing" for them. That's why I said they want to "force" 3D
onto the consumer market.
Dig down into the money behind 3D movies and 3D channels and see whether
or not the production costs aren't being at least partially subsidized
by manufacturers with a vested interest in 3D.
