Re: [Avid-L2] A little trip down Avid memory lane

I read the whole thing and grew nostalgic for the old Avid guard, too,
especially Eric Peters.

Another thing that struck me was the comment from a reader who is a
Final Cut (Apple) employee. He writes:
"Working on Final Cut Pro, we were taught to hate everything Avid."

I realize the advantage of having a competitive spirit, but why do you
have to actually HATE the competition.
Seems miraculous that they'd hire one of Avid's key employees to
basically run things... maybe just out of spite? (no offense to Steve
Bayes' considerable knowledge and skill).

Maybe if FCP spent less time hating and more time admiring, FCP would
be better than it is now.
