[Avid-L2] Subcap - feature wishes

We have been using Subcap for open captions for some time. Working in Europe this is a very important feature for us. We routinely caption in Turkish, Japanese and Chinese besides the "normal" European languages. Subcap works great, but we have some wishes:

- "Basic outline" + "Line weight" should apply their border differently. Right now the border "eats" of each character, which renders them illegible if applied to any text of normal subtitle size. The border should be applied outside each of the characters to work as intended. Or at least have the option to do so.

- Subcap happily imports UTF8 subtitle files in Chinese and Japanese and renders them nicely if supplied a suitable font, but Subcap cannot render Arabic texts which reads from right-to-left. This would be a very nice and useful addition.

- Global Subcap properties should default to synchronizing the entire track. Normally you want the entire track to have a uniform appearance. The default values right now is a mix of clip/track/sequence synchronization that does not make sense to us.

- Applying styles should be reflected by updating the text in the timeline without having to exit the dialogue box first.

- The drive list in the "Importing subtitle files" dialogue should include the disk name of each drive, not just the drive letter. That would make it a lot easier to identify the correct disk/Unity workspace.

These additions would allow to create much nicer open subtitles, to work faster and to include a huge language area in our daily work.
Please Avid, could this become part of the coming very interesting v5 release?

Best regards
