[Avid-L2] Re: OT: SHOW ME THE MONEY!

Apple is out to control the entire pipeline of your viewing experience. Right down to the various television sets they sell. (iPhone, iPod, iPad, AppleTV)

If they can nick a little piece off of every piece of content sold on the internet, they will do VERY well.

So, they now have tools to create content. They now have the means to distribute and take a piece of that compensation for that product. And they have the consumer devices that makes it so easy to consume that product.

Comparing them to a company like Avid that makes tools for one part of that chain is absurd.
