[Avid-L2] Advanced PD Q

How is current versions of MC/Symphony dealing with Advanced Pulldown. A client loaded DVX100a footage shot in 24a to a 23.98 SD project. I'm assuming this had to be done via FW? Will SDI work in this situation? Is there anything special to do in the Avid once the clip is captured to remove Advanced pulldown? Also, with mixed framerates in the timeline, how is Avid dealing with Advanced vs Standard PD?
