Er, cos it is fast and involves finding one file which can refer to
many.

Also, if the mxf files have no project in the header it can be tricky to
find them in the media tool amongst all the other media.

Just wondering why/how this is different or better than using the Media
Tool?

Aside from the "coolness" of dropping the mysterious mmob file into the
Bin.
