This Friday is the entry deadline for the Telly Awards - $75 per entry, and
another $150 if you win (I guess that's to buy a statue).
Someone here wants to make three entries. I couldn't care less. I'd rather
have a nice letter from a happy client than a statue.
About 20 years ago I won some kind of regional Emmy for editing. I've got
that statue somewhere at the house. I guess if I was up for some kind of
national award I'd get interested. Is it because I'm getting old that I
don't care about this stuff? Are Telly Awards for the young folk looking for
recognition? I think I'd rather spend the money on good software.
