You may simply be putting too much on the disk. Will Nero accept
AC3? At that program length, WAV (or more precisely uncompressed
PCM) is ta bad choice and probably just too much. Sorenson can make
AC3. In any case, even with AC3, that much video will need to be on a
dual-layer disc for decent quality (or two discs). Does Nero
recognize that this is what it should be making? Not sure if Nero can
transparently handle a dual-layer DVD.

Me. I'd export to MOV and move to a DVD Studio. ;) On Windows with
a limited budget, I'd consider TMPEG. I have not used their authoring
software but their encoder is hands-down the best value in MPEG
encoding. Has saved my but many, many times, and I have many tools.
