I consolidated to a local firewire drive and provided a bin.
There were a few odd moments.
There was one piece that was offline as if it didn't make it through the
consolidation.
I opened up the original sequence through Interplay to check the shot
and it was present in the original sequence.
When I check the consolidated sequence again the shot was then online
(apparently fed by Interplay).
When I took the local drive offline the shot and everything else in the
consolidated sequence went offline as if the problem shot was on the
local drive. (I thought it should have stayed online, still fed by
Interplay somehow.)
When I hooked up the local drive to another non-Interplay composer, the
shot was offline.
Here is a related question.
The Interplay support guy at the facility told me that the consolidated
version on the local drive could not be checked on the Interplay MC even
if all the Isis workspaces were unmounted. We had to check it on a
non_Interplay MC.
He made it sound as if the machine that was hooked to Interplay handled
things differently all the time, even if only a local drive was mounted.
That sort of fits with the above behavior.
But is that true always? That there isn't a way to disable the Interplay
after it has been installed (for example if one wanted to use the
machine with only locally attached drives)?
Thanks,
D.
