Re: [Avid-L2] Editing on Symphony vs. Media Composer...

You shouldn't use your Media Composer settings directly in the
Symphony, but you can recreate them on the system "by hand" and they
will work great. I switch back and forth between Symphony and MC all
the time. Most of what she's familiar with will be right where she
expects them to be and work the same. Symphony just has additional
features that she won't be familiar with, like the advanced color
correction or Universal Mastering options, but even those will have
familiarities to MC's regular color corrector and Digital Cut tools.

But leave some time before the session to create a new user setting
from the ground up. Otherwise you could cause corruptions that you may
not even realize are causing strangeness in the UI or even playback
and performance issues.
