Re: [Avid-L2] Anybody tried to hook an XDCAM PDW-1500 to a MacBook Pro?

I need some more rudimentary instructions unfortunately.

I went into the PDW1500 menu and switched it to FAM mode, so it now
reads PC remote! on the front of the PDW 1500.

I still can't see the drive on the desktop or when I look at the
import dialog box in the Avid software.

But, in the "About this Mac" when I look at the Firewire bus, it
definitely sees a PDW1500 at the other end of the cable.

Because this is a MacBook Pro, it ONLY has Firewire 800 IO and the
PDW1500 only has a Firewire 400 IO, so I have a 400/800 cable. I'm
assuming that's working properly since the bus sees the device, even
if the device isn't showing up on the desktop.
