[Avid-L2] Re: Paragon NTFS

Not only Paragon is too slow for editing, it also is too slow to copy files: when we have to move files between PC/Mac we usually access the Mac HDs from Windows via MacDrive, which is roughly 15x faster than Paragon on OSX! There's no need to install linux for once in a while read/write access to HPFS and NTFS formatted drives, using a bootable linux distribution such as Ubuntu Desktop (which runs off the CD drive) will do the job, and it works with both PCs and Macs. If You need to move files between platforms on a regular basis and have a computer to dedicate to this task installing linux is the best solution as for speed and dealing with file permission issues.
