[Avid-L2] P2 files

I have a project coming in with just about every format there is. PAL
and NTSC, I have MXF files, P2, AVCHD. Its a nightmare. Starting
with the P2 files. I have brought these in before but this time when
I use AMA to import, I get the clips in the bin but they are offline
and then the bin won't close or does not exist in the project file.
Have to force quit. I am going through the standard import process
based in Avids doc on the site. What could be going on here? Also,
how do I work with AVCHD media?
