[Avid-L2] OT: The Doorpost Film project voting is underway

For anyone interested, the initial voting is underway to select the
finalists for the Doorpost Film Project. As I've said before, I've never
seen a film competition that is so geared toward truly assisting and helping
the film maker, both ins support and mentorship, as well as financially.
The winners of the top 20 will submit scripts, then 5 of those will be
selected for the finals and given a budget of $40,000 each. Prize money is
$160,000. Pretty amazing.

I still say that the winner of last year's competition, "The Butterfly
Circus" is the best short film I have ever seen. You can still see the all
the films from previous years and if you haven't seen Butterfly Circus, take
20 minutes to do so. I still watch this film regularly for inspiration.
