[Avid-L2] Fwd: Media db wont rebuild

Hello List-

MC Version 3.5 Mac 10.5.6, SAS mediadrives

AMA usually turned on.
Project is P2 and tape media.

P2 media (linked to folders dedicated to P2) is online.
All tape media suddenly (on restart) is offline. Same media drives- different folders. Relink fails with and
without AMA. Tried trashing msm files- and on restart MC does NOT rebuild databases. Tried trashing settings- same results.
Renamed the mxf folder, and a new capture behaves as expected. Moving the old mxf clips into the new folder does not rebuild database. It's like it suddenly doesn't think the tape media is, well media.
Ideas? Got an awful lot of offline media here.
