[Avid-L2] "Cannot Lock to Automatic, Please check digital audio source or change inputs"

Hello!

I'm the assistant editor working with an avid andrenaline, g5 & the panasonic 1400 deck.

everything was working fine, then the tech guys replaced our deck and now during capture I have to manually click "ON" A1 A2 A3 A4, press play, then Capture.

After capture is complete A1 A2 A3 A4 turn OFF and a window pops up with the message:
"Cannot Lock to Automatic, Please check digital audio source or change inputs"

I am having to capture 30 min tapes in their entirety, so,
other than having to do everything manually, it seems to be working fine.

My question is, if this glitch is not fixable, can I go ahead with clicking the audio "on" manually without having any problems later? (i.e. audio drifts etc because of such long captures??)

also an additional question:

We are shooting 720/59.94p with the Panasonic Varicam camera and we are editing at 1080/59.94i with the DNxHD145 codec in Avid. According to the Panasonic AJHD 1400 spec sheet, the deck will cross convert the 720/59.94p footage to 1080/59.94i.

Is there a setting I need to set on the deck, or does this happen automatically? (I have reviewed the manual and cannot find anything)
