Re: [Avid-L2] NitrisDX HDMI output YCbCr vs RGB No change?

It does, big time. Interlaced projects are by nature YUV 422, so I think your MC filters out the RGB mode for HDMI. Switch the format(top tab in prj settings) to 1080p/29.97 and you should see the difference. Which is very noticeable by the way.

What are you trying to achieve anyway?

On hour 36 so my perception of White Balance is anything but clear.  Even so I'm in a bay new to me with a Panny High end consumer Plasma being fed from the NitrisDX via HDMI.  Comparing it to a PVM 20L5 being fed HD component I've got them reasonably close.  For the life of me I can't see a difference on the plasma when I switch the HDMI output from YCbCr to RGB.  Since the monitor goes black for a second or two when switching it's hard to compare A/B wise but I really don't see a noticeable difference on the display between the settings.  How drastic should the difference be?  The project is 59.94I if that would make any difference.  Could the monitor sense what it is being feed and adjust seemlessly.  If so why the two choices in Avid?  Are other monitors different in this aspect.  So many questions, so little sleep, too many air dates and now these are the monitors of our lives.
