Import a TIFF into Avid and FCP. In Avid import as DNxHD using RGB levels. Then export as TIFF using RGB levels.
In FCP import TIFF (using 2.20 gamma) and place/render on a ProRes timeline. Export a TIFF from the rendered timeline (using QT Conversion).
Compare the two roundtripped TIFF files. The FCP export will have slightly more contrast and slightly darker blacks. Peak white levels will be about the same.
