Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Avid /fcp red you Ty

I new you couldn't resist Oliver.

Does anybody know if Metafuze uses the RR card to assist in the
transcode like REDCineX does? If it does not, I assume you are stuck
with 9-15 RT speeds for the transcode. It's also nice to do a best
light, before you bake in. I suppose Crimson could then be used to get
back to Scratch.

I further assume, DS will have some process that relinks to the
original .R3D files and then uses the RR card to daybayer on the fly.
Not knowing much about Metafuze, I further assume that includes the
metadata that allows DS to go find the .R3D.

These questions rightly should go to the DS list, but will continue to
persue them here at the moment, if that's OK by the list.

My final question is, will DS allow you to edit RT without the
transcode ie debayering on the fly using the RR card. That's the
"Holly Grail" for me, and if the RR support trickles down to MC, I
will be back into the welcoming arms of Avid in a heart beat, like a
returning lover, with a new glow "SLAP", thank you Nurse, I needed that.

By the way does anbody have a link to the DS list, yes I know I am
being lazy.
