[Avid-L2] Re: OT: Canon 5D 24p firmware

It's the same .1% issue at play here:

24.000 -> 23.976 or 30.00->29.97. The only slight difference being that MC allows for either 24.000 or 23.976 in SD and HD while the "30" is always the fractional rate of 29.97. The Canon being a 30.00fps camera now has to deal with the .1% workflow to not have frame adjustments ~1000 frames or audio to be in sync.

And everyone in NTSC land thought they could escape the .1% issue! Ha! Oh yeah - HD, the great equalizer was going to solve all of that for us.
