It doesn't just play - it messes with your mind!!!

And one thing I have learnt is that you need minimum Interplay 1.6 to get this to work successfully (thanks Sylvain).

In DS 10.2 you have an Interplay login in your preferences and this connects the DS to the database. There is no Interplay Window in DS, you use Access to drag and drop seqs in to a DS folder and this then opens up the AAF import dialog and you can bring the seq in to the DS timeline.

You can edit away and then us the Timeline to MC command to send a flattened mixdown clip of your finished seq back to Interplay for a Media Composer dude to open up.

For all this magic to happen, you will need to very carefully configure your DS workgroup and point media indexers to interplay media indexers and other tweaks too involved for an email to describe. But yes it can and will work.
