[Avid-L2] Re: Wacom Bamboo Multitouch

Hey Ian,

I bought the Wacom Bamboo Fun (Pen and Touch) which is a medium size tablet they sell. I wanted to try the same thing your talking about. I love to use a tablet over a mouse. And I really love my MacBook Pro's trackpad. I thought it would be a great idea.

Overall it works really well for basic navigation of the OS. Surfing the web and file browsing. It fails in a lot of other places (like editing) because it's missing an easy way to click. So while you can move the mouse with your finger....grabbing and holding something becomes a different task. Since there is no ability to click by holding the tablet down, like the laptop's have, it becomes more difficult. You could map a button to act as click, but then your using two hands which is a little strange. I have mapped one of the buttons to be "middle click", but it's a little strange.

If there was a small app out there that would let you easily switch the button configurations. One for editing and another for navigation.
