[Avid-L2] Re-Editing Old shows

We have two one-hour shows which were edited on Avid Express for the Mac
(system 9) Meridien 5.06.
Our producer wants to re-edit and finish the shows in another country where
there are only PC Avids with newer software (Composer 3.x).
About half of the shows were shot on HDCAM (a deck they don't have so we
will have to re-digitize here), and the rest is on BetacamSP.
Can the timelines from the shows be imported into newer Composers?
Are there hurdles in moving from Mac to PC?
I am not eager to send our Avid to South America.
Suggestions?
