[Avid-L2] Re: Smoke on Mac update

I know smoke is a solid finishing tool but I really don't see it as better in the arena of total conform of an Avid offline. Having never run a smoke I don't know how "Total" it's conform is for Avid based work. It certainly had a time before an HD Symphony was available and DS was the only other option back in the day. Am I wrong to think of Smoke as a better compositor platform but somewhat even with the Symphony on color correction potential. I'm so use to the non linear color correction of Symphony that another system would have to have a lot more features to offset the efficiency of non linear color correction on SN. I'm sure I'm going to have to learn a new system because isn't Avid about to be a Server Company?
