[Avid-L2] Re: OT: now Kiki was: Xpri was:KRALL

" I was wondering if I should regress to being a jr. high twerp again,
and ask to take my picture with her."

When I worked at Play, I too passed on the "can WE do a picture" but I
did shoot a pix of "our" office area when Kiki was present. (I just
realized I named out prettiest kitty Kiki, but that was in honor of my
mom's sister -- or so I thought at the time. Whoops!)

I'm surprised they chose a guy to do it. I did several shows when I
worked in Tokyo and part of the pre-show fun was going through photos
of possible "booth" girls and choosing a dozen to work our booth.

Perhaps Kiki arrived at the last minute and he had prepared using a
script prepared by the local distributor. Asian distributors are often
long on geeks and short on marketing savvy.

In China I had a guy who could do a simultaneous translation of a very
technical speech on supercomputing. I know he kept up because when
technical words weren't translated he was only a beat behind. That
really would be best for her -- plus most tek types can follow English
if not spoken too fast.

Of course it's possible that either the "Holoset" went over their
heads or perhaps internet broadcasting (etc) just isn't a big deal in
Japan. You would know best about that.

Hope you are well -- expect to get to Tokyo this winter.

Best Regards,
Steve Mullen
