I agree with you that this form factor is NOT conducive to run and gun, and therefore won't lend itself to "main camera" status, but there's plenty of other situations where
it might be the right choice. Point is... the post workflow must take this into account. You'll be mixing all kinds of different codecs, frame sizes etc from here on out.
