In my lifetime alone we've gone from manually splicing bits of celluloid to together to tell a story, to the ability to easily do this on your home computer.
And having this great assemblage of people from all over the world who are willing to openly share their knowledge and freely debate issues allowing us to see many different viewpoints is unprecedented in the history of man.
