[Avid-L2] MXF folder structure (mac)

Trying to figure out why a MXF folder isn't showing all media relating to a project.
The media originated on a Unity system where folders are named 'Avid1.1', 'Avid2.1', 'Avid1.2' etc.

The media is going on to a local storage device (standard firewire drive). I had thought the names of those folders needed to change to '1', '2', '3', etc. What happens when you get to 10? Do you change to '1.1', '1.2'?

I'd like a peek in to anyone's MXF folder structure please.
