I think that was always the plan, I think REDCine got out of the bag
and has been reversed (Terry may be correct about Assimilates
influence). You really need something that replaces REDRushes and
ROCKETCINE-X appears to do that.

One of the issues with SCARLET is that is still using .R3D files (I
assume) so that implies you have to include a RR rocket card. Using a
Cannon 5D and 7D with data rates of 45Mb/s means you could play it RT
through Light Room (LR) and probably get a decent grade, what is
lacking is a RAW format that mimics what the .R3D can do with RR.
Thats the Holly Grail, and I would suggest you keep an eye on Arri/
Adobe and see what they come up with LR as the building block.
