Re: [Avid-L2] More with the questions: XDCAM and P2

Yes. That's the name at the bottom of each page.

I have nothing against his writing in the document. It's just unusual
that a hired-gun writer injects himself into a company document by
using personal pronouns. I have written for Avid and Adobe and usually
you're asked to make it sound like the document is coming from the
company, not an individual. There are some exceptions to this, but
usually a sharp-eyed company editor will spot "non-company" references
and remove them.

The other MAIN issue is that the document is so old - relatively
speaking - in such a fast-changing high-tech environment.

Avid probably has people to tout the new advantages to the big, high-
end clients, but we (the commoners) have to rely on reading company
documents to know how to direct our clients and how to best make
equipment and workflow choices. If those documents are out of date,
then Avid looks out of date. So, as far as 98% of Avid's customers are
concerned, Avid is not better going into 2010 than it was in 2008.
That is BAD MARKETING, BAD MESSAGING and BAD FOR BUSINESS.
