Just tested. Yes it does.

Will Red Cine handle audio?

You can simply select to include or exclude audio (if present) from the R3D.

Audio support has been there since the release of MetaFuze 2, last August.
Avid was ready to add support for audio earlier, it was the ever evolving
Red SDK that was crippled for a while. Easy to blame Avid, not so popular to
blame Red, I know. Still telling it like I hear it through the grapevine.

That's an option. As said, if you want that sound, use it.

Not even importable: it creates Avid media. If MF writes to your (local or
shared) MXF subdirectory, the footage is ready to go instantly after the
transcoding in MF.

AFE to DS. Or EDL into Scratch or BaseLight. AAF to BaseLight should work,
but everytime I bring it up at my favorite BaseLight house, they prefer an
EDL, since they don't feel BaseLight has AAF import covered so good (their
words).

RedRushes is slower than MetaFuze. And indeed, you get a fast import into
Avid, rather than Avid Media you can use instantly.
