So here I am again with a bucket of cold water ;-) Judging by how well RED has managed to meet all of their delivery targets, I presume that gives other NLE manufacturers about 5 years, at least. ;-)

Got those RED 4K displays and projectors yet? Or RedRay? Or Scarlet? How is REDcine-X with editing audio? What about a dissolve? How do you drop in clips from your 200 or your HDSLR? What about image stabilization? Compositing? Greenscreen? Shall I go on?

I don't mean this personally, so please don't be offended. As much as Redcine-X has a lot of promise, it is designed to service a market of 5,000 cameras worldwide, where probably half are owned by users who can't afford anything past owning the bare body itself. Is that a core market for Apple and Avid or any other NLE developer? They can't do more than the SDK allows and that seems to be purposefully crippled by RED.
